Lunch stop in the old city

Certain areas of Bristol, like Stokes Croft, are literally a canvas, painted and re-painted. While wandering, we stepped through a door and found ourselves in a courtyard. "Stokes Croft Murals" was all tall ladders and painted walls. There were two people there, a young man on a ladder, looking undecided, and an elderly man on the ground, who said,
"It's your wall, son. Do what you want with it."
I don't think we were meant to hear that, but it made my day.
