Belgian windows

Nearly four years ago, I sat in a coffee shop at Brussels Midi at 6 a.m, trying to not fall asleep. It was the start of an adventure, the first city I travelled to by myself (though quite by accident, but that's a story for another time); things had already gone a little bit wrong, and I was sleepy and unsure. I could hear trains rumbling, utensils clanging, the banter and laughter of those who worked in the coffee shop.

And then, somewhere out of sight, an accordion. That's when I knew I was going to be fine.

A walk down memory lane. Thinking of you.
